Description

The silk handmade border shows off the beautiful hand cross stitching and embroidery on this amazing baby blanket, lovingly made stitch by stitch. I photographed it white on white so look closely where the border is. This has been laundered and soaked and is entirely clean from a smoke free home.
The stitching says, “Guardian angels will watch over me”. SO sweet!
I found this at an estate sale where every baby garment and shoes and toys were gently preserved.
A handwritten note named the maker of each handmade item and the date. This was lovingly made by a grandparent for her grandchild.
The top is made from a soft corduroy fabric, and the back is white stitched cotton. All machine washable. I laundered in hot water and dried in dryer. The silk border came out perfect. This is a beautiful baby blanket and would make a great vintage baby shower gift. Measures 44 X 34,
a perfect baby size.
